Knowing Your Impact: Fast Fashion and Teens (Virtual Craft Tutorial)
Thursday, July 16, 11:00 a.m.

Are you a teen who’s heard of “fast-fashion” and want to know about its impacts on your life? Join Sheila and Kalthom as they shine light on the Take-Make-Dispose model of the fashion industry, then learn how to turn a T-shirt into a DIY Macramé Market bag. Fashion - forward can be environmentally-friendly!

You’ll need 1-2 old t-shirts, a hanger and a scissors to make your macramé market bag!

Sheila Xu is a Syracuse University Fashion Design graduate and steward for NYS Sustainable Material Management program. Kalthom Al Jiboury is a Syracuse University Fashion Design graduate.
